Reservations and Confirmations

All accommodation reservations must be confirmed at the time of booking with a valid debit or credit card. A non refundable deposit of 50 percent of the total accommodation cost will be taken at the time of booking. Escape2 The Sands Ltd does not hold provisional bookings.

Any additional extras including but not limited to breakfasts, extra beds, wine, chocolates or flowers are payable in full at the time of booking and are non refundable.

Once a reservation has been confirmed, Escape2 The Sands Ltd will, where possible, confirm the booking in writing by email or letter.

The remaining balance is due no later than 28 days prior to arrival and must be fully settled by check in. If payment has not been made by check in, Escape2 The Sands Ltd reserves the right to charge the outstanding balance to the card provided. Card details are securely stored using an encrypted PCI compliant system.

Guests should inform staff of any special requirements within their party so appropriate arrangements can be made in the event of an emergency.


Booking and Cancellation Terms

Non Refundable Rate

A deposit of 50 percent of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking.
The remaining 50 percent balance is due 28 days prior to arrival.

If the booking is cancelled more than 28 days before arrival, the 50 percent deposit will be retained.
If the booking is cancelled within 28 days of arrival, 100 percent of the total booking cost will be retained.

Flexible Rate

A deposit of 50 percent of the total booking cost is required at the time of booking.
The remaining 50 percent balance is due 28 days prior to arrival.

Bookings cancelled at least 14 days before arrival will receive a full refund.
Bookings cancelled within 14 days of arrival will be charged 100 percent of the total booking cost.

The cancellation date is the date written cancellation is received.

Holiday cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. Providers include Guest First.


Online Travel Agents

Any bookings made through Booking.com or other online travel agents are non refundable. Guests will be charged the full booking value if they cancel or do not attend. Full prepayment may be taken at any time. If payment is not received, the booking may be cancelled.


Rates

All rates are subject to availability, seasonality, local events and time of year. Escape2 The Sands Ltd reserves the right to amend rates at any time. Rates are subject to annual increases.


Check In and Check Out

Check in is from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival. For group bookings, the lead booker is responsible for informing all guests.

Check out is by 10.30 am on the day of departure.


Damage Deposit

A valid debit or credit card must be presented at check in. A pre authorisation of £100 will be held against the card to cover potential damage. This will automatically be released within 7 to 10 working days subject to no damage being identified.


Payments

Escape2 The Sands Ltd operates as a cashless business and accepts Visa, Mastercard and Maestro. Foreign currency and cash are not accepted. Cashback is not available.

Cheque payments must be received within 7 days of booking and no later than 28 days before arrival. Cheques are not accepted on arrival or departure.


Cancellations by Escape2 The Sands Ltd

Escape2 The Sands Ltd reserves the right to cancel a booking where circumstances beyond its control arise, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions or other unforeseeable events. Liability is limited to refunding monies paid.


Chalets

Chalet bookings are non refundable and non transferable. Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Keys may be collected from 10.00 am on the first day of the rental. A £5 refundable cash key deposit is required. Keys must be returned by 6.00 pm on the final day.

Chalets are for use between 7.00 am and 10.30 pm only. BBQs, fires, naked flames and glass bottles are strictly prohibited.

Escape2 The Sands Ltd does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items.


Pets

A limited number of pet friendly apartments are available and must be booked by telephone. Pets are charged at £20 per night per pet. All pet owners must sign and comply with the pet policy.


Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within The Sands complex, including balconies. A £100 cleaning charge will apply if smoking occurs.


Toiletries

Toiletries provided are for use during the stay only. Any missing items will be charged at £10 per bottle.


Car Parking

One parking space may be allocated per apartment, subject to availability. Parking areas comprise a combination of spaces owned and controlled by Escape2 The Sands Ltd and spaces that are privately owned by third parties. Allocation of a specific bay cannot be guaranteed and may vary during a guest’s stay.

All vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk. Escape2 The Sands Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, theft, damage to vehicles or their contents, or for any personal injury, accident, or incident howsoever caused while using the car park or parking facilities, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Guests are responsible for parking their vehicles safely and appropriately within marked bays and for ensuring that they can enter and exit their vehicle safely. Escape2 The Sands Ltd cannot be held responsible for the size, layout, accessibility, or proximity of parking spaces, nor for the actions or omissions of other vehicle users.

Guests use the car park and surrounding access routes at their own discretion. Escape2 The Sands Ltd does not guarantee the availability of alternative spaces, additional manoeuvring room, or parking adjacent to specific buildings or apartments.

If assistance is required, guests are encouraged to contact reception, where staff may be able to offer guidance or luggage support; however, this does not imply acceptance of responsibility or liability.

This clause is intended to clarify responsibilities and does not affect any statutory rights which cannot lawfully be excluded.


CCTV and Data Protection

CCTV operates in public and staff areas for security purposes. Personal data is handled in accordance with data protection legislation and will not be sold or shared with third parties.


Complaints

Any issues must be reported to staff immediately to allow an opportunity to resolve them. Unresolved matters should be escalated to the Duty Manager. All recompense accepted is deemed full and final settlement.


Returning Guests

A 5 percent discount is available for returning guests staying three nights or more when booking directly. Proof of previous stay and a valid discount code are required. Certain apartments and dates are excluded.


Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking or staying with Escape2 The Sands Ltd, you confirm acceptance of all terms and conditions outlined above.
